Hello! I’m Joseph. I’ve been working on this blog ever since Fall 2010. It started out as a school project, but ended up becoming somewhat of a habit.

Sadly, I can’t eat out as much as I’d like to. I don’t always have the money, so I update when I can. Though, this does greatly benefit my cooking skills, so I can’t complain. I hope that on my quest for awesome food, I can help others discover some tasty bites in San Francisco.

I wish I discovered your blog before our SF trip so we’d have a guideline on where to dine while in your great city.

Thanks for liking my photo of San Fran. I’ll be posting more in future blogs. I live in Toronto, Canada, but SF is my favorite US city — it feels like home to me as I’ve visited about eight times in the last 10 years. I miss it when I’ve been away too long. What a great city you’re so fortunate to live in. Thanks for sharing food finds!

Hey Joseph. Many thanks for Liking my blog post. I used to live in San Franciscone (as I used to call it) and I can easily say, without a seconds hesitation, that it is the most culinary rich city I have ever experienced. I completely understand AND envy your mission to eat your way through it!

    Thanks again,

Glad to know about your blog. When I go to SF, my plan includes three items: visit relatives, walk, and eat. I’ll note your recommendations.

The story of my life: loving to eat out, never had enough money to do it as often as I wanted! That’s when you become a great cook! 😀 Nice to meet you! Alessia

Great blog. My sister lives in the Bay area. She has her own business, has to do with dogie day care. She loves her animals.

Thanks for visiting my blog, Savor the Food. I hope you return. We would appreciate your comments and readership.

Hey, Chef Randall of brought me here. I’ve recently started a eating Toronto section on my blog and he recommended me here to take a look at some of the stuff you do. Glad he mentioned you because your blog is great. I’m actually thinking of heading to SF this spring/summer. Looking forward to stuffing my face.

@caseylee18 Keep at it Casey. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from blogging is that persistence is half the battle. The other half is having a huge appetite. Be sure to bring it with you when you come to SF, there are plenty of great bites to be had!

AnElephantCant think of anything clever to say
    This happens time after time
But he wants you to know
That he likes you and so
He says hello with this silly rhyme

Joe have you ever thought about taking you gourmet palate overseas? it is a great vacation and would make for a great blog. Thank you so much for visiting my blog too, I hope you enjoyed it.

@aquariusamber I wouldn’t exactly call my palate “gourmet” (Not yet at least), but I’ll definitely be going overseas in the next couple of years. I think I’ll create a different blog to showcase the food I eat abroad. Thanks for stopping by and you have a great theme by the way!

Joe, our favorite place to go each and every time we are in SF is Pacific Cafe on Geary and 34th (I think it’s 34th). It’s been there for 38 years and delicious as ever. My auntie took me there on my first trip to SF back in 1994. I took my husband on his first trip to SF in 2003. We get there about once a year and we still love it.

Thank you for stopping by and “like” on one of my posts. I do remember well SF, I was there many years ago. Sorry, but I can’t remember the good places we find back in the ’90s but if you like chinese food too you’ll find surely something good.

Hey David-Kevin, I’ve almost got my bachelors and then I suspect I’ll be back to blogging about food. I have a ton of food pictures and experiences that I need to write about. Thank you for your concern!

Your new site looks wonderful! Of course, all those restaurants can’t be as good as your own mother’s cooking. Love, Mom
